I have always stated that when I paint, I am the truest version of myself.  Painting leads me to connection and as I paint a dialogue develops.  Each movement of my hand is in communion with my emotional, spiritual and physical presence. It is the bridge that equips me to connect at a greater level of consciousness with the world around me.  I am fueled by the compulsion to capture each instant of that conversation, so I work as spontaneously as I can--relying on the emotive nature of color and the unexpected emergence of form and shape to direct me as I layer, build,  deconstruct, express and interpret; creating an existence that wasn’t there before. The dichotomy of freedom and restraint, both within myself and with the paint is the constant struggle.  This vocation is my pursuit to encounter the divinity that exists within all human souls, purely by means of expression.  It is my attempt to offer the viewer an experiential moment of relational existence, as they become an extension of the work with their own interpretive response to the dialogue that I began.
